Sandra Bunnell

Sandra J. "Nana" Bunnell, age 82, of Madison, WI passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026, to join her Savior, Jesus, in Heaven.

Sandy was born on November 2, 1943, in Freeport, IL, the daughter of Robert and Peggy Bunnell. She graduated from Stoughton High School in 1961.

Sandy worked at Oscar Mayer/Kraft for much of her life. She loved kids and upon retiring, she babysat her grandkids, became a crossing guard, and then a lunch lady for many years to follow.

Sandy is survived by her children, Jared (Tina) Redders and Lana "Missy" (Jake) Stauffacher; her four grandchildren, Austin, Hailey, and Emma Redders, and Luke Stauffacher; her niece and nephew, Brenda and Bobby Wilberg; and many other loved ones and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Barbara Wilberg and Debbie Bunnell; and brother, Dick Bunnell.

She enjoyed sewing, reading books, gardening, feeding the birds, going to church, and attending her grandchildren's functions. Her energy, humor, and generosity were well known within the area sports and worship communities. Sandy's wishes were to not have a memorial service; she wanted people to remember her as they knew her.
