Linda Busse

Linda L. Busse passed away at her home in Madison, Wisconsin, on February 24, 2026. After a courageous four-year battle with lung cancer, she took her final breath in the arms of her loving and devoted husband, Terry.

Born in Madison on February 5, 1949, to Kenneth Raisbeck and Ritella (Reitmair, Raisbeck) Brickl, Linda dedicated her life to the service of others. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), she spent decades providing compassionate care to those in nursing homes and through in-home healthcare, leaving a lasting impact on countless families.

Linda and Terry spent many years raising their sons in Shoreview, Minnesota, before returning to their Wisconsin roots once their boys began their own careers. Linda was thebedrock of her family—a proud wife of 48 years, a loving mother and grandmother. She spent time with friends and family. She enjoyed boating, lounging in the lake, playing games, thrift shopping and entertaining.

She is survived by her husband, Terry; her sons, Theran (Kari) and Derek; her cherished grandchildren, Keanna, Easton, and Arya; her brother, Charles Raisbeck; her sister, Cindy (Lamont) Norman; and a wide circle of extended family and dear friends.

A celebration of Linda’s remarkable life will be held this summer at her favorite place—the family lake home on Porters Lake in Wautoma, Wisconsin. Her family invites friends and their "Porters Lake family" to gather and share memories of a life beautifully lived.
