Obituary
Mazomanie- Joseph F. "Joe" Huber, age 88, passed away at home on Sunday, March 29, 2026. He was born on July 30, 1937, in Madison, WI to Joseph and Adelia (Koenig) Huber. Joe attended Madison West High School and graduated in 1954. He worked as a Deputy Sheriff for Dane County. He married his wife of 26 years, Mary, on September 4, 1999.
Joe had many memories of helping his mother run the body shop after his father passed away. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Joe is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Joseph (Melinda) Huber of Deforest, WI, Angela (Aaron) Hayden of Allen, TX, and Kevin (Laurie) Huber of Midlothian, TX; Mary's children, Michael (Jenny) Baumbach of Tomah, WI, Raymond Baumbach of Las Vegas, NV, and Maria (Paul) Chapelle of Long Island, NY; grandchildren, Joe Huber III, Paige Huber, Dylan Hayden, Courtney Hayden, Bailie (Ian) Young, Brenna Huber, Brooklyn Huber, Bella Huber, Michael Baumbach, Jaiden Baumbach, Braiden Baumbach, Kaitlynn Hollar, Leanna Chapelle, and Raymond Baumbach; great-grandchildren, Iris and Levi; sisters, Theresa Licari, Rita Burchette, and Delores Easland; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Mary Stampfli and Marcella Fitzgibbon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at St. Norbert's Catholic Church, 8944 County Hwy Y, Sauk City, WI. Burial will follow after at St. Norbert's Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Ryan Funeral Home, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest, WI.
