Donna Faye Jensen

July 27, 1955 – April 16, 2026

The angels came and gently ended the suffering of a truly wonderful woman, after a prolonged illness. Donna Faye Jensen was welcomed into her Heavenly Home, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and joyful memories.

Donna was born on July 27, 1955, in Madison, Wisconsin, to Riley and Alberta (Harms) Ellis. She spent her early years living on a farmhouse in Westport Township before her family moved to Deansville, Wisconsin.

In 1969, Donna’s family moved to Madison, Wisconsin, where fate would bring her even closer to her lifelong love. Just a few houses down lived a young boy named Mike Jensen, whom Donna had met when they were only 14 years old. Their love story grew into a beautiful 45-year marriage.

Donna graduated from Madison East High School in 1973 and went on to create a home filled with warmth and laughter. She and Mike were blessed with two daughters and later, Donna was blessed in becoming a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Donna is survived by her loving daughters, Carrie (Josh) Coughlan and Jenny Jensen (Jon Mallach); her cherished grandchildren, Ava, Emelia, and Shawn; her sisters, Karen (Gary) Harrington, Sue Benisch, and Terri (Rick) Fisch; her brothers, Billy (Jan) Ellis and Brian (Terri) Ellis; and countless nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike Jensen; and brothers, Charles and Gordon Ellis.

Though Donna will be deeply missed, there is comfort in knowing she is at peace and reunited with those she loved. Heaven has gained an MVP angel.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave, Madison. A Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial at Highland Memory Gardens, Madison.
