Brandon Reuter

Brandon was my best friend. He had a brilliant mind and a big heart, the two collided atvtimes, gis heart always won in the end. He had the brains to get himself far away from the homeless community, but he recognized people needed his skill set to help keep peace, build safely, discreetly, his ability to settle disputes peacefully earned him a great deal of respect. He stayed out there, in the cold, in the forests, in weather conditions and community persecution he could have simply avoided. He stayed for them. He was an excellent and patience teacher and his areas of knowledfe in bikes, ebikes, basic construction, electrical and lived survival were sought after byvthe community as well. I could go on and on aboutvthe people he has helped and the lives he has forever changed but its mine he impacted the most. He was a brother to me, we taught each other and pushed each other. People have often tried to put us at odds, but we would sit down, smile, and say "well... i guess you're dead... i robbed you and susans my uncle" or whatever ridiculous rumors he and i had heard about ourselves. I almost disregarded the news he was in the hospital because of this dynamic. I will say, he took the weight ofbthe world on his shoulders and he was tired, deep in his soul tired. Tired of seeing the people he loved hurting each other. Tired of the injustices in dane county jail, corrupted city and county law enforcement. He was exhausted, and i take some solace that my brother has some peace now. If you knew him, honor his memory, love more, share more, give more, need less, get back to nature. Say what you mean, mean what you say, and if you need need to ... fuck around and find out. I think this is where my boy would say " shut up, talking to me" next time im out there late, light the way B, i love you man.

I went to elementary and middle school with Brandon, I knew him after high school too. Brandon had struggles his whole life and those demons haunted him. I know he blamed himself for a lot that was wrong in his life but that man LOVED hard and his family was everything. Brooke baby, I'm so sorry you are going through this. Kiss those kids for Brandon.

Brandon had so much potential. May he rest in peace and his friends and loved ones carry on his memory. Brandon was loved by many and will never be forgotten. My condolences to the family.

That was my road dog you save my life and shit was fucked up, but I can tell you one thing everybody was homeless and ran down apart. There was any trouble he was on it. I watched him strip a person in and make a person strip because he was being an idiot, but you know what he’s in heaven. God said it was his time and he is there. God sends out of his children, no matter what we do to heaven.
