Keith Hammersley

Keith E. Hammersley passed away on May 17, 2026, at the age of 77.

Keith was the proud owner and operator of Hammersley Stone Company, Inc., where he dedicated much of his life to his work. He also served his country with honor as a frontline medic in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

In 1972, Keith married the love of his life, Nancy. Together they shared 54 years of marriage filled with love, partnership, and family.

Keith found his greatest joy in time spent with family, whether traveling, playing cards, or relaxing along the Wisconsin River. These moments were at the heart of what mattered most to him.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Nancy Hammersley; his children, Nathan Hammersley and Shana (Hammersley) Schwarz; and his cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Jack, Annabelle, Mars, and Matthew.

He is also survived by his siblings Mary Disch (Chuck), Doris Jenni (Dan), Patricia Gullickson, and Richard Hammersley, as well as his in-laws Joan (Bob), Karen (Dan), John, Mary, Patti (Dave) and Judy, along with many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Martina Hammersley (Miller) and Fay Hammersley, Jr., and his brothers, Jim and David Hammersley.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Barnwood Events Wisconsin, 3230 Larsen Rd, Madison, WI with Full Military Honors at 3:00 PM.
