Robert Harris

Madison- Robert J. "Bob" Harris, age 68, passed away peacefully at home on May 26, 2026. He was born to Arthur and Arlyne (Maas) Harris on December 23, 1957 in Lake Geneva, WI, where he grew up, and attended Lakeland School in Elkhorn, WI. He worked in many different establishments within the food industry around Lake Geneva and Madison. Bob was especially proud of his time working at the Kohl Center. He got to know the coaches while he worked there and even called some plays for Bo Ryan.

Bob enjoyed NASCAR and watching sports, especially the Badgers, Packers, and Brewers. In his younger days, he liked to ride his bike everywhere. He also loved rock music, like AC/DC. He was especially proud to be a great-uncle.

Bob had many challenges but never once complained.

Bob is survived by his brother, Donald “Hondo” (Dorrie) Harris; nephew, Dustin Harris and his wife, Suzie Cownie; great-niece, Elara Harris; and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Arlyne; and brother, Edward Harris.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Porchlight and Agrace Hospice of Madison.

The family would like to thank Glen Ruiz from Porchlight, Herbert Hackworthy and Tim Taggert from the Kohl Center, Maria Joseph, Priscilla Njokhma and the staff of Shalom Family Home, especially Ese and Evelyn, and a special thanks to the staff at Agrace Hospice.
