I had a lot of respect for Jim. He was easy to talk to and a very decent person. My dad Conrad Markley enjoyed many wednesday burgers and beer together with their friend and neighbor Stu. Everyone in their Weshire neighborhood kept and eye on each other and cared how everyone was doing. Jim will be greatly missed. Now Jim and my Dad have joined their wives up in heaven.

I was a teacher at Memorial High School and remember Jim as being always so kind and respectful to staff and students. And he was much respected in return. Many of us remember him as a gentleman who never seemed to get ruffled. I wish him peace.

I'm going to really miss my Uncle Jim. He was a big part of our lives and a huge support to our family and my dad. And boy could he tell stories!!! I never got tired of listening to him talk about growing up with my Dad, Uncle Chuck, and Aunt Carol. All the stories from Deer Camp at the Shack, his memories of my Grandma and Grandpa, different jobs he had growing up. He was the kindest, warmest, wisest man. I miss you Uncle Jim. Thank you for the love and support and being someone we could always count on.

I attended West High in the 50s and 60s. I remember getting counseling from Jim. I was a "troubled" kid. He was so calm and fair minded. A good fit and good at his job. As a Naval Vet I salute Jim. As a student I thank him. Prayers and my sympathy to hisfamily and friends
