Susan "Susie" Hageman
November 08, 1977 - June 02, 2026
Obituary
Susan “Susie” Hageman, age 48, of Verona passed away on June 2, 2026 – Beloved Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and Special Friend to all that knew her. She was born on November 8, 1977 in Madison, WI to parents John and Helen (Simniok) Hageman. Susie graduated from Verona Area High School and earned an Associate Degree in Marketing through MATC in Madison. She dedicated 20 years to her work as a Property Manager in the Middleton Area. She was employed at EZ Gregory Co for 8yrs, starting in the warehouse and went on to be a buyer for the business. There were many great memories of the fun “Dime Store” and the many people she fondly worked with there.
Susie was an avid sports fan and she loved cheering for the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. She cherished watching Packer games with her dad John on Sundays. We all know Susie liked to shop! She always dressed with a flare, with her focal point being her Shoes, Shoes, and More Shoes. Her nephew once said her closet was a shoe waste land.
Susie’s most cherished times were with her family. Her biggest pride was her nieces and nephews. She had countless memories with them all and a huge emptiness will be in their lives forever, but they will have many memories of her as she doted on them always. She always said if I could not have babies, her nieces and nephews were her babies, and she meant that with every inch of her selfless soul.
Friends were her circle of life and many would say she was the life of the party and lit up any room. She embraced every one of her friends with open arms. She not only had a large friend group – she also had many friendships through her career as a property manager. She was more of a friend to her tenants, contractors etc. than a manager. She had a huge heart and compassion for them all. One of her tenants commented that they “Went to Boulder Creek looking for an Apartment and found a friend”. There are many that would agree to this and this truly was a reflection of Susie.
Susie will be missed by her devoted and beloved Hector. They were together for many years, and she expressed her love for him and that he was a good man as well as his family. She loved him with all her heart, and she made it known to her family and friends many, many times.
Susie’s generosity and selflessness will live on in her gift of being a Donor, which shines a light on her always putting others before herself.
Susan is survived by her parents John and Helen Hageman; siblings, Theresa (Steve) Droster, Kevin (Cora) Hageman, Lisa (Devin) Dahlk; and many nieces and nephews Susie called her babies, Johnny (Megan) Halverson, Cole and Connor Droster, Kaytie and Riley Dahlk, Kylie, Kain and Kash Hageman; one great nephew, Braxton; Susie’s devoted and beloved, Hector Salvador Vazquez De Gabriel. All of whom she loved with all her heart.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents along with aunts and uncles.
We will forever love and miss you Susie, this is not goodbye but see you later – love all your family and friends. FOREVER! We will always remember one of Susie’s favorite quotes from Winnie the Pooh… “Pooh, how do you spell ‘LOVE’?”… “You don’t spell ‘LOVE’, Piglet, you feel it.”
A Private Family Service will be held on June 12, 2026.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, July 26, 2026 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Four Winds Farms, 5735 Adams Rd Fitchburg, WI 53575.
