William "Bill" P. Leuthner

August 26, 1938 - June 9, 2026

William P. Leuthner, age 87, was called to heaven on June 9th 2026, after a brief illness.

Bill graduated from Madison Edgewood High School in 1957, attended college, and was a proud Veteran of the US Army. Bill spent his entire career working for Dairy Equipment. A reserved and private man, Bill was greatly loved by his family.

Bill is survived by daughters DeeDee (Steve) Shirley, Dawn Leuthner; grandchildren Derek (Claire) and Jayna Shirley; sisters Mary Whalen, Ruth Demers; sister-in-law Elizabeth Kelsey, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Cecelia Leuthner, brothers Jack and Joseph, and sister Lola Fritsche.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 16th, at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Madison. Visitation will be held at St. James an hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. service. Burial will be held at St. Olaf Catholic Cemetery in DeForest, WI.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Edgewood High School of the Sacred Heart are preferred (edgewoodhs.org).
