Obituary
Madison- Brooks B. Brown, age 82, passed away at home on June 17, 2026. He was born August 13, 1943 in Louisiana, MO to Joseph and Fern (Boyd) Brown. After serving in the US Army from 1964-1967, Brooks earned his bachelor’s degree from Mankato State College in 1976. He retired in 2009 after a 28-year career with UW Physical Plant. Brooks married Nancy Bachman on July 4, 1975 in one of the last hippie outdoor weddings. He enjoyed taking his children on nature walks when they were younger and he was a lifelong railroad fan.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Ethan and Leah; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and cousin, Beverly Webb.
