Obituary
Thomas “Tom” Lloyd Finhert, age 80, passed away on June 24, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born on October 17, 1945, to parents Arne and Lila (Retrum) Finhert of Blanchardville, Wisconsin.
Tom graduated from Blanchardville High School in 1963. Tom married the love of his life Virginia Ann Johnson on July 13, 1968, in Mount Horeb. He was a warehouse manager for Frito Lay where he later retired after 35 years. He enjoyed playing cards with his neighbors, camping, attending car shows, and restoring his 1937 Ford pickup. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters at the pool.
Tom is survived by his daughter Tara Ukadibia; granddaughters Olivia and Isabella; brother Arne Martin Finhert; sister-in-law Chris Warchol; also nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; wife Virginia; brother Robert Finhert; brother-in-law Phillip Johnson; in-laws Mary and Robert Johnson; son-in-law Anthony Ukadibia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Burke Lutheran Church.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Burke Lutheran Church, 5720 Portage Road, Madison. A visitation at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
