Obituary
Sandra Kay Kennedy, age 80, passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2026, at her residence. She was born on March 21, 1946, in Lodi, Wisconsin to parents Stanley and Eileen Markgraf.
Sandra graduated from Lodi High School in 1964. Sandra married Patrick R. Kennedy on October 14, 1967, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Madison and together they shared 57 years of marriage. She loved gardening and taking care of her plants, painting, reading, loved her cats, watching country westerns, loved traveling, especially to Jamaica. She enjoyed watching the Badgers and Packers and following the Wisconsin Wrestling team. Above all she cherished spending time with her husband, Patrick, and loved their afternoon car rides no matter where they would end up. She maintained a strong connection Patrick after he preceded her in death in June of 2024.
Sandra is survived by her daughter Connie (Steve Ryan) Bushee; grand dog Dublin; sisters Audrae Richards, Karen Alt, Linda Graff, and Marrianne (Lee) Hillestad; brother Frank Markgraf ; and several nieces and nephews. She is further survived by her brothers-in-law Mike (Linda) Kennedy and Tim (Sheri Brekke-Kennedy) Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick; parents; and son-in-law David Bushee.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N Sherman Ave., Madison.
