Obituary
WINDSOR – Keith J. Armstong, age 82, passed away peacefully, at his home, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, July 11, 2026. Keith was born on March 30, 1944, in Madison, WI, to Keith and Bernadine (Turnipseed) Armstrong. He grew up in Madison and graduated from Madison Central High School in 1962. Keith married the love of his life, Barbara Alston, on June 20, 1964, at Grace Lutheran Church, in Monroe, WI. He worked at Sears East Towne as an Automobile Service Advisor for 26 years and later went onto perform maintenance at T. Wall Properties and M&I Bank. He also drove school bus for Morrisonville and well known for installing a radio and playing for the kids, as long as they behaved.
In his early years, Keith spent a lot of time in DeForest, playing softball, bowling, and playing horseshoes. When their grandkids were younger, the whole family took yearly road trips, with the CB radios, to Orlando and Cocoa Beach in Florida.
Barb and Keith took annual trips to South Dakota and later their daughters, and sons-in-law, joined them, and all rode their Harleys through the Black Hills and Deadwood.
Keith was well known for his ability to fix and build anything, including several decks, a waterfall in front of their home, and a grand playhouse for his grandkids.
Family was everything to him and he was everything to us. Everywhere he went, he was known by someone. To know him was to love him.
Keith is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barb; daughters, Teresa (Fred Wagner) and Tammy (David) Stark; grandchildren, Janice (Don) Halverson, Justin Stieren, Kayla (Dustin) Weber, Kendra (Zach) Havens, and Jacob Stark; great grandchildren, Skye, Kadyn, Vinny, Grayson, and Ava. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and numerous extended family and friends. Keith is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Ken and Jim.
