Mary A. Kearns, age 92, passed away on Saturday, August 15th. 2026. She was born on October 12, 1933, in Kingston, WI to Thomas and Agnes Leahy. She married Maurice W. Kearns on June 9, 1956 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kingston. They were married for 59 years prior to Morrie's passing in 2015 and were blessed with eight children.
Mary was a proud farm wife, a loving mother, and a caregiver to many. She enjoyed sewing, jigsaw puzzles, and was an avid sports fan. Two highlights of her life were seeing Tiger Woods with one of her grandsons and going to a Wisconsin Badgers basketball game vs. Duke with another grandson. (She didn't know who to cheer for!)
Mary is survived by her two daughters, MaryAnne (Steve) Raab and Anna Mae (Chris) Foss; six sons, John (Laurie), Patrick, Bill (Barb), Paul (Christine), Mark (Becki), and Peter; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren, plus one on the way; her sister, "Little Mary" Campion; and one very special nephew, Tom Cotter.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; loving husband; two infant brothers, Thomas and Joseph Leahy; brothers, John and Jim Leahy, and Mike Burk; and sister, Anna Cotter.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Andrew (St. Faustina) Catholic Church in Buffalo Township. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Barrett House in Markesan, WI or to SSM Health Hospice of Fond du Lac, WI. The family wishes to express extreme gratitude to them for the exceptional, loving care provided to Mom.
