Wayne "Knobby" Kelliher

I had Coach Kelliher as a gym teacher for the swimming unit in ‘77 when I was a 100 pound freshman. He found out I was on the Girl’s swim team and I got to pull him down the pool to show that size difference doesn’t make much difference when you’re trying to save someone in the water!

Knobby made this young football coach feel welcomed. Football purist. Great basketball official. Witty sense of humor. One of a kind. Kurt Gundlach

So sorry for your loss. My two brothers (Norb & John Schachte) knew Knobby and spoke of him often. They played ball with him in High School. Thoughts go out to the Kelliher family.
