Obituary
MADISON - Ronald James Lehr, age 79, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026. Ron was born on September 12, 1946 in Madison, WI, to Allie and Clara (Jorgenson) Lehr. He graduated from Madison East in 1963. Ron worked for the Madison School district for many years. Ron was a long time member of Burke Lutheran Church. Ron enjoyed watching sports, annual trips to Las Vegas, and Sunday morning breakfast. Ron will be greatly missed.
Ron is survived by children, Tammy Peterson and James Lehr; grandchildren, Dustin (Tiffany) DiOrio, Amber (Brett) Moore, Jade (Jordan) Orr, and Krystal Peterson; and six great grandchildren. He is further survived by nephews, other family and friends. Ron is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janan Lehr; siblings, Robert (Sandy) Lehr, and Mary (Donald) Bandt.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave, Madison, from 5:00PM until 7:00PM.
