Obituary
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Brady Gomez, age 50, on September 17, 2026.
Brady was born in Madison, Wisconsin, on June 14, 1976, to Scott and Mary Gomez. A lifelong Wisconsin resident, Brady was known for his generous heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering devotion to family, friends, and animals.
Brady is survived by his parents, Scott and Mary Gomez; his best friend, Robin Gomez (Andre); his beloved niece, Addison Rose Mazzara; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Edris Gomez, and Norbert and Margaret Zeier; his cousin, Kimberly Hutchinson; and many cherished pets including Makenzie, Zoey, Sophie, Bucky, Daisy, and King Leo the cat.
Brady graduated from Edgewood High School of the Sacred Heart, where he lettered in both football and swimming. He spent much of his career working at the family-owned Saxony Apartments, where he learned the business from his grandfather, Norbert Zeier. During his years there, Brady served as a property manager and helped oversee a complete remodeling of the property.
Following his years at the Saxony, Brady pursued his dream of owning a farm. There he devoted himself to raising animals and promoting healthy, locally produced food. He regularly donated dozens of eggs each week, along with meat, to local food pantries because he believed everyone should have access to nutritious food.
Brady was a kind soul who believed deeply in helping others. He loved music, treasured time with family and friends, and had a special bond with his beloved dogs, Casidy, Tye Dye, and Louie. Family was always the center of his life. He enjoyed making memories with people, and his spirit, warm smile, and unforgettable laugh will be remembered by all who knew him.
Brady was a friend to everyone he met. He will be forever missed and always held close in our hearts.
A private family service will be held, and Brady will be laid to rest beside his beloved grandparents, Norbert Zeier and Margaret Zeier, and his cousin, Kimberly Hutchinson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Ryan Funeral Home Legacy Center, 6728 Mader Drive, Madison, Wisconsin 53719.
