Betty Pechan

VERONA – Elizabeth “Betty” Marie Pechan, age 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2026. Betty was born on November 24, 1933, in Avoca, WI, to Daniel and Minnie (Gumz) Franklin. She married William Pechan on May 16, 1953. Together they built a life, dedicated to family and friends. Betty was a longtime member of St. Andrew’s CCW. She loved traveling, especially traveling to gamble, crafting, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Our fondest memories will be how she made us all laugh. Betty was known for her spunk and sassiness, she will be greatly missed.

Betty is survived by her children, John (Audrey), Debby (Dave) Kaltenberg, Dan (Donna), Dale (Monica), David (Julie), Diane (Dave) Jones, and Jill (John) Lins; grandchildren, Christopher, Caroline, Sarah, Cody, Elizabeth, Joe, Amanda, Benjamin, Jennifer, Adam, Alison, Dawn, Stephanie, Michelle, Grayson, and Hunter; 27 great grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, John (Mary) Franklin, Ronnie Franklin, and Donnie Franklin; and sister-in-law, Cindy Franklin. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Bill; grandson, Joseph; and siblings, Mary Jean (Ken) Wardell, Robert (Donna) Franklin, Norma (Norbert) Fleming, Carol (Laverne) Wardell, Dan Franklin Jr., and Sandy (Robert) Dougherty; and sisters-in-law, Ardith Franklin and Connie Franklin.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 11:00AM, at Ryan Funeral Service & Legacy Center, 6728 Mader Dr, Madison. A visitation will be held from 9:00AM until time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery.
