James Welhouse

James G. Welhouse, age 80, passed away on September 30, 2026, in Madison, WI. He was born on August 1, 1946, to James H. and Rose Mary (McCann) Welhouse in Appleton, WI. He graduated from Xavier High School in Appleton, WI. Jim proudly served in the United States Army. He attended UW Steven's Point and went on to be a successful business owner. On April 18, 1970, Jim married Peggy Engesuth and they shared 56 years together.

Jim enjoyed fishing, complaining about the Packers, and loved going to the cabin up north.

Jim is survived by his wife, Peggy; sons, James Jr. and Joseph Welhouse; 5 grandchildren; sister, Jacqueline (Welhouse) Strobel of Fon du Lac, WI; brothers, Jeffrey Welhouse and Mark Welhouse of Appleton, WI; and aunt, Bonnie Kuhr. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00pm - 4:00pm on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Rude's Lanes, 210 E Holum St, DeForest, WI.
