Patricia Louise (Kopp) Koch

Deforest - Patricia Louise (Kopp) Koch, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2026, at her home in, Deforest, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 9, 1952, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, one of nine children of Kalcie Kopp and Margaret (Crowley) Kopp. Patricia married Donald Koch on May 6, 1978 and together they raised two children, Jonathon and Nicholas. Patricia lived in the same house in DeForest for most of her adult life. She worked for MG&E for 38 years and was close with all of her friends from work. Patricia was extremely caring. She memorized everyone’s birthday, always sending cards throughout the year. Patricia’s favorite place to be was anywhere surrounded by family and friends, and she traveled near and far to make sure she never missed a moment.

Patricia loved music and was especially a fan of R&B, soul and country and loved to dance to the music. She loved warm weather and enjoyed traveling to sunny destination. Patricia was a member of St. Olafs Catholic Church in DeForest.

Patricia is survived by her sons, Jonathan Koch and Nicholas Koch; siblings, Mayre Menard of Lincoln, NE and Teresa Wolfe (Gary) of Fort Dodge; and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Koch; parents, Kalcie and Margaret Kopp; and siblings, Carol Lack, Lawrence Kopp, Kalcie Kopp, Norma Robbin’s, Richard Kopp, and Lorraine Peterson.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at Ryan Funeral Home, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest. A visitation will take place from 10:00am until the time of service.
