Marcelle Peters

BELLEVILLE-After a short illness and years of constant, chronic pain, Marcelle Peters of Belleville found relief and peace on August 4, 2014. She was a wonderful mother and friend and will leave an unfillable void in the lives of those close to her.

She was born in La Porte, IN on January 26, 1922 to Linda (Struss) and William Tarnow. She was the sixth of nine children and all of her siblings have preceded her in death.

Marcie married Harry Ritter in January 1949 and lived in Michigan City, IN. She and Harry had two children, Garry of Verona, WI and Karry of Belleville, WI. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Jeff (Jane) of Oshkosh, WI and Beth (fiancAC. Wes) of Pembroke Pines, FL.

Harry passed away in 1972 and three years later she married Robert Peters, also of Michigan City. Their marriage lasted until 1993 when Bob passed away. For the past fourteen years she has been a close friend of Ron Schmid of Belleville, her companion in camping and bumming around.

Mom's passion in life was being a mother to her family and friends and in this she succeeded wonderfully.

Our family would like to thanks Dr. Zorba Paster and the staffs of the Belleville Senior Center, St. Mary's Hospital and Agrace HospiceCare for the exceptional care they showed our mom.
