ARLINGTON - Ronald C. Leatherberry, age 76, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.
Ron was born on June 2, 1938 to Clifford and Luella (Colstad) Leatherberry. He married Connie Hines on November 14, 1959. He retired from Del Monte after 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping in his younger years. Later in life he enjoyed spending time with family and grandkids. His interests included cowboy movies and die cast car collection.
Ron is survived by his wife of 55 years; 3 daughters, Dawn (Jerry) Camren of Wyocena, Jody (Teddy) Leatherberry-Buell of Fox Lake, Dena of LaValle; son, Scott of Rio; 4 sisters, Shirley Brisky of Poynette, Sandy (Marty) Bobholz of Marshall, Arlene (Ron) Kirner and Karen Koehn both of Lodi; 2 brothers, Steve (Vicki) of DeForest and Ken (Lanita) of Fort Atkinson; sister-in-law, Kathy (Kevin) Hurd of Janesville; 8 grandchildren; 12.5 great grandchildren. Further survived by other family and friends. Ron is preceded in death by his daughter, Rona; parents; 2 sisters, Betty Elmer and Janet Homman; 2 brothers Eugene and Alan; and great grandson Jace Alexander Blackburn.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM at ARLINGTON COMMUNITY CENTER, 200 Commercial Street, Arlington on Sunday, January 18, 2015. A celebration of life will be held from Noon until 4:00PM at the Community Center on Sunday after the service. Private burial at Green Wood Cemetery at a later date.
