Obituary
MADISON – Willis B. Cragin, the son of Byron and Alma (Klawitter) Cragin, passed away on Jan. 5, 2015, after a long illness.
Born on Aug. 31, 1925, Willis was 89 at the time of his death. After serving in the Army during World War II, Willis married Elaine Weckwerth on Dec. 2, 1950, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Montello. He was employed by International Harvester Trucks, retiring after 32 years as service manager. In his retirement, Willis enjoyed spending time in Montello, fishing with Elaine. He also greatly enjoyed his grandchildren.
He is survived by children, Gary (Mary) Cragin of Sun Prairie, Renee (Mike) Wettengal of Leander, Texas, Bruce Cragin of Madison and Diana Leone of Madison; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hazel Puterbaugh. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine, in 2006; and his sister, Alice Miller.
