Obituary
SUN PRAIRIE – Mary Gayle Rubin, age 88, died at her residence at Lighthouse in Sun Prairie on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015. She was born on Feb. 19, 1926, in Portage, the daughter of Carleton and Ruth (Evans) Rubin.
Gayle enjoyed dancing, water aerobics and playing cards. She loved animals and birds, especially Sand Hill Cranes.
Gayle is survived by four nephews, Michael Daley of Madison, Dan (Chris) Daley of Portage, Gary (Diana) Kaschinske of Poynette, and Larry (Loralee) Kaschinske of Colorado; two nieces, Kim (Bob) Henze of Arlington, and Kris (Craig) Urban of DeForest; extended family, Cheryl (Keith) Huie of Sun Prairie; great-nieces and nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Ruth Ann Daley and Betty Kaschinske.
The family extends a special thank you to Farrel Geisler for her caregiving and friendship; the staff of Agrace HospiceCare and the staff and residents at Lighthouse.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, with Monsignor Charles Schluter and Father Roger Nilles presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
