Obituary
Waunakee- Lorraine C. Doyle, age 96, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Waunakee Manor Assisted Living. She was born on July 11, 1918 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Francis and Rose Felsecker. Lorraine graduated from Milwaukee Messmer High School. She married Laurence H. Doyle on May 13, 1944 at St. Augustans Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
Lorraine was a charter member of St. Peter Catholic Church, where she often volunteered in the kitchen. She devoted her life to being a loving wife and wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Lorraine followed NASCAR Racing and was a loyal Packer, Badger and Brewer Fan. She also enjoyed playing cards and socializing with family and friends.
She is survived by her children: Patrick (Judy)Doyle, Michael (Lynn) Doyle, Ellen (Larry) Felsheim and Katie (Mark) Hilgers; 8 grandchildren: Brian Doyle, Jackie (Adam) Smith, Michelle (Clay) Benish, Tracy (Troy) Hietpas, Bob Doyle, Jenny (Jay) Futterman, Jill (Travis) Corning and Matt (Megan Skinner) Hilgers; and 8 great-grandchildren: Cascidy, Remi, Shea, Houston, Michael, William, Otis and Milo.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Laurence; her parents; her step-mother, Jean Felsecker; and her sister, Bernice Kunath.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2015 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., with Fr. Roger Nilles officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Monday at the church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
