Obituary
MADISON- Jerome H. "Jerry" Selmer, age 82, passed away on April 30, 2015. He was born in Madison on January 9, 1933, the son of William C. and Mary A. (Killallay) Selmer. He married Betty Pape at First Baptist Church in 1955. Jerry managed multiple service stations, was a mechanic, and worked maintenance at St. Benedict's before opening his own woodworking shop, Family Woodworks and Crafts.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty; a daughter from a previous marriage, Sharon (Wayne) Zabel; his daughters, Susan (Randy) Brandes, and Linda Selmer; and a granddaughter, Amanda.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Wilma, Mary, Blanche, William and Walton.
Jerry's family would like to thank Dr. Pestrovani, his buddy and caretaker, Saikou, and Angie from hospice for their exceptional care.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at LAKEVIEW LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4001 Mandrake Road, with the Rev. Dean Kirst presiding. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
