Obituary
MT. HOREB/ VERONA -Ronald A. "Ron" Sargent passed on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at home. He was born June 28, 1932 to Albert and Florella Sargent. Ron graduated from Madison East High School in 1950 and entered the US Army, serving during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Pat, enjoying over 50 years of marriage together. He is also survived by two sons, Bart (Sandy) of Madison and Brett of Blue Mounds, 6 grandchildren, Stefanie (Mike) Keim, Mathew and Ross (Katelin), Chase (Kari), Brenna and Mandi and 5 great-grandchildren, Madison, Shane, Mack, Ella and Lyla, and a brother Wayne (Diane). He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ken and Marvin and a sister-in-law, Mary Lee.
A celebration of Ron's life will be held at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 220 Enterprise Dr., Verona on Saturday, May 30th from 11:00AM - 1:00PM with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to Heartland Hospice, 2810 Crossroads, Dr., Suite 1300, Madison, WI 53719 in Ron's Name.
Ron and Pat enjoyed taking trips to the casino, participating in golfing and bowling leagues and wintering as "snowbirds".
Thank you to Heartland for the outstanding care and companionship you showed to which helped Pat keep Ron at home. You know who you are!
