John Robert Wilson, age 63, died on May 28, 2015, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, surrounded by his family.
He was born on October 1, 1951 in Fort Atkinson WI to Robert and Shirley (Bidwell) Wilson. He graduated from UW Madison in 1973. While attending the UW he met Patricia Ann Auchue, and they were married on November 6, 1976 at St. Raphael’s Cathedral in Madison. After marriage, he attended the University of Minnesota, attaining his Electrical Engineering Degree. In 1980 he began his 35 year career with Wisconsin Power and Light/ Alliant Energy, retiring earlier this year, retiring earlier this year.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Pat; his children, Christopher J. (Sarah Nelson), Andrew C. (Rhiannon), and Danielle L. Wilson; grandchildren Adyson, Amelia and Charles Wilson; brothers, David (Linda) and Thomas Wilson; mother, Shirley Wilson; and 4 nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon, on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., Madison. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
