Obituary
DEFOREST - Lorraine "Kim" Haack, age 73, passed away at her home on Monday, June 29, 2015. Kim was born on August 19, 1941, the 5th of 7 children, in Westport, WI to Joseph and Mary Brausen. She attended Blackwoods one room school house in Westport and later graduated from DeForest High School in 1959. Kim married the love of her life, Albert Haack, on September 23, 1961 at St. Olaf Catholic Church. She worked various jobs but retired from the Goodyear plant in Sun Prairie. Kim enjoyed soft ball, bowling, gambling, cooking, camping, traveling and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Kim will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Kim is survived by her husband of 53 years, Al; children, Michael (Mary), Lisa (Steven) Schleicher, Patrick (Karen), and Paul (Jacqueline Hoverson); grandchildren, Samantha, Gwendolyn, Natalie, Aaron, Mitchell, Carly, Nicole, Connor, Jenna, Lacey, Dylan, Nicholas, and Jacob; siblings, Rosie (Ted) Larson, Ed (Janet) Brausen, and Janice Ellingson; in-laws, Howard (Dee), Donna Broge, Anna (Ron) Brewer, Arlene (Randy) Phillips, Dennis (Priscilla), and Frank (Donnell). Further survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bernie Brausen, Hank Brausen, and Art Brausen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at ST. OLAF CATHOLIC CHURCH, 623 Jefferson Street, DeForest, with Father Robert Butz presiding. A Visitation will be held from 4:00PM until 7:00PM on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest and again from 10:00AM until time of Mass on Thursday. Burial at St. Olaf Catholic Cemetery.
