William Coster

FITCHBURG - William "Bill" Russell Coster, age 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2015 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born in Madison, Wisconsin on May 26, 1936, the son of Russell and Ann (Jones) Coster. Bill was the oldest of 10 siblings, and the proud father of seven daughters. He served his country in the US Army followed by 43 dedicated years working for the US Postal Service. Bill was devoted to God, his wife and children, and his faith. He was a lover of nature, music and traveling, taking great joy in planning yearly family vacations. He was a sports fanatic, and enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and doing crosswords and puzzles.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Catherine (Tom) Herlache, Theresa (Brian) Kalupa, Mary (Dale) Hook, Patricia, Judith, Ann and Bridgette; his grandchildren, Claire and Liam Herlache, Christopher and Samantha Kalupa, Chayn Hook, and soon to be born Aaliyah Coster-Williams; 7 siblings. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Ann (Dabel); his parents and his brothers, Thomas and Paul.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00PM at JOYCE-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 5701 Odana Road, Madison, on Friday, July 10, 2015, with Father Joseph Wood presiding. Friends and relatives may greet the family from 11:30AM until time of Mass at the funeral home on Friday. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
