Michael Beckwith

WAUNAKEE- Michael J. Beckwith of Waunakee, age 64 died at Agrace Hospice, Fitchburg surrounded by his family on July 10, 2015. Michael was born in Madison, Wisconsin on August 30, 1950 to Robert and Catherine (Soule) Beckwith. His early years were spent in Madison graduating from Lafallette High School in 1968 and later attended college at MATC.

Mike was married to Barbra (Dallman) in 1974 where they resided in Madison, later having their son Adam Jon on July 19, 1981. They later moved to Cottage Grove where Mike, his brother and father built their home. They presently resided at Westshire at the Lake in Waunakee. Mike had a variety of jobs but spent the last 30 years at the State of WI as a Plumbing Engineer reviewing plumbing products. Mike was a lifetime member of the Dane County Conservation League (DCCL) where he did gun and archery hunter safety. Mike was also a lifetime member of the North Bristol Sportsman Club (NBSC) where he enjoyed being an archery director. Mike was in Scouts where he guided his son Adam to becoming an Eagle Scout.

Mike is survived by his wife, Barbra of 40 years and their son, Adam (Valerie) of Madison, beloved granddaughter, Lillian Mae; sister, Becky (Tony) Majeski of Madison; brother, Ralph Beckwith of Rockford, Ill.; brother-in-law, Bruce Dallman of Freeport, Ill.; sister-in-law, Cheryl of Sundance, WY; brother-in-law, Richard (Sharon) Dallman of Brooklyn, WI.Mike is also fondly remembered by his and Barbra’s extended family.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Robert and Catherine Beckwith.

Funeral services will be held privately by the immediate family followed by a celebration of Life for family and friends on August 30, 2015 at the NORTH BRISTOL SPORTSMAN'S CLUB, 7229 N. GREENWAY RD, Sun Prairie, WI, 53590 from 3pm-6pm.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimers Association of Wisconsin, DCCL Hunters Safety or NBSC.
