Obituary
MADISON - Daniel C. Grace, age 79, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015. Dan was born on May 7, 1936 in Clintonville, WI to Evelyn Johnson. He was raised by Albert and Almeda Grace in Beaver Dam, WI. Dan graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1954. He served in the US Navy for 2 years and soon after started his career at Oscar Mayer Foods in Madison, WI. Dan retired from the research department after 40 years. He married Mary C. Holmes in Sturgeon Bay, WI in 1959. Dan enjoyed traveling with his wife, wood working, skiing with his family, spending time in his backyard, and especially being with his grandchildren. Dan will be missed every day, especially on holidays and family gatherings.
Dan is survived by his four children, Kevin (Erin), Eric, Shelly (Al) Spallato, and Brad (Kate); grandchildren, Lily, Addy, Jared, Bryce, and Frankie; siblings, Joel (Karen) Lawson, and Lynn (Dan) Wolaver. Further survived by other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary and brother Jerry (Bobbie) Ebert.
A service will be held at 11:00AM at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 North Sherman Avenue, Madison, on Thursday, July 23, 2015. A visitation will be held from 10:00AM until time of service at the funeral home on Thursday.
