Obituary
MADISON - Dennis J. Thompson, age 66, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015. Denny was born on July 28, 1948 in Madison, WI to George and Doris Thompson. He graduated from Madison East High School in 1966. After school Denny enlisted with the Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. Upon returning home, he worked for Madison Gas & Electric and retired after 37 years. Denny enjoyed motorcycles, riding, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Denny will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Denny is survived by his daughters, Sarah Wacker, and Ellen Wacker; siblings, Valerie (Ray) Priebe, Carla (Terry "Shorty") Leskinen, Tommy of Oxford, WI, Georgia, Lizabeth (Don) Parmer, Larry of Appleton, WI, Dee (Theresa), and Phyllis Gallman. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by parents.
A service will be held at NOON at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 North Sherman Avenue, Madison, on Wednesday, July 22, 2015. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Burial to follow with full military honors.
