Obituary
Madison – John E. Stockinger, age 69, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2015. John was born on February 1, 1946, the son of Richard and Helen (Byers) Stockinger. He graduated from Cathedral High School in St. Cloud, MN in 1964. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1968 and was stationed in Hokkaido, Japan during the Vietnam War. John earned a degree in Education and taught 5th and 6th grade for 25 years. He loved to fish and hunt.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Susan (Togstad); daughters Kristin (Paul) Isaac, Kathleen (Jonathan) Henkel, Katherine Stockinger, and Mary (Aaron) Finley; grandchildren Jack, Josephine, Parker, and Audrey; and brothers: George and Mark (Thea) Stockinger. He is further survived by his sister-in-law, Marie Stockinger and many extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard Stockinger, and sister-in-law, Joyce Stockinger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015 at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Drive, Madison, with Father Bill Nolan presiding. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in St. Paul, MN.

*Please Note: Cars should at cemetery staging area between 11:00 and 11:15 am, but no later than 11:15, which is when the caravan leaves for the gravesite.
1. Take 34th Ave South to the Terminal 2 MSP Airport exit.
2. Very easy to see the headstones as soon as you exit.
3. Use the 2nd gate to enter into the cemetery.
4. Take a left turn to Assembly Area #2. Assembly Area #2 turn will be marked with a sign.
5. Arrive to Assembly Area #2 between 11:00 and 11:15am, but no later than 11:15am.
6. The cemetery staff member will lead the line of cars to the shelter (burial site) at 11:15am.
7. The shelter (burial site) is called the Columbarium.
