Marguerite Rideout

Madison – Marguerite Elizabeth Crowley Rideout, age 98, passed from this world to be an Angel for God on September 23, 2015. She was born to Martin and Loretto (Wagner) Crowley on November 3, 1916 in Webster, S.D. Marguerite married Matthew Rideout on April 24, 1944. Marguerite worked for J.C. Penney’s in Men’s Alterations and for family and friends. She also knitted hats for babies. Marguerite and Matt were both members of Madison Shamrock Club.

Marguerite and Matt were blessed with four children: Michael, of San Antonio, TX, and his children Ruth, Mark and Luke; Mary Jo (Ronald Re) of Lake Forest, CA, and their son, Mitchell; Christopher Sr. (Kathleen O’Brien) of Madison, WI and their children Christopher (Dr. April Zehm), Therese (Nathan Bethel) and Elizabeth Rideout; and her son Vincent Rideout of Chicago, IL. She is further survived by her two great grand-daughters, Cleo and Sylvia Bethel, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Matthew; Mom and Dad; and her sisters and brothers-in-law: Eileen (Thomas) Flad, Katheren (Garrett) Callahan; and Sr. Marie Martine Crowley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 28, 2015 at BLESSED SACRAMENT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2112 Hollister Ave., Madison with Father Simon-Felix Michalski presiding. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, and again from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Monday at Church. Entombment will take place at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
