Glenn Rowe

MADISON – Glenn L. Rowe, age 85, passed away at Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. on September 29, 2015. He was born in Iowa County, WI on December 10, 1929, the son of Wesley and Dora (Farrill) Rowe. Glenn met Jean Kuenzi in Dodgeville, WI and the two were married on October 9, 1954 after his return from serving in the Korean Conflict.

After attending MATC for Auto Body and Painting courses, he worked at Gordie Boucher for 21 years before retiring from Zimbrick in 2010. He was active in the Holy Cross Lutheran Dartball league for many years and enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family and taking road trips to casinos with Jean.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean; his children, Glenn (Derek Aimonetto) Rowe, and Patti (Bill Zeman) Stone; his granddaughter, Amanda (Colby) Hoffmann; his great-grandchildren, Ace and Griffin; and his brothers, Francis Rowe and Donald (Kathy) Rowe.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth (Shirley) Rowe; his sister, Elizabeth (Robert) Lindeman; and a sister-in-law, Viola Rowe.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks for all of the care provided to Glenn over the years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Meriter Foundation.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 2015, at HOLY CROSS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2670 Milwaukee St., with the Rev. Mark Bartels presiding. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Monday.
