ARLINGTON / DEFOREST – Mary A. Norton, age 74, passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 4th 2015, surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. She was born on April 8th, 1941 to Clyde and Gladys Bailey in Black River Falls, WI. Mary was united in marriage to Warren "Skip" Norton on October 10, 1964 in Madison.
Mary was a well-known waitress in the DeForest area for over 40 years, where she made numerous friends and many great memories. Mary loved spending time with her family, it was her greatest joy. She was a great cook, loved gardening and enjoyed her regular shopping trips with Skip searching out a good bargain.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years "Skip"; children, Scott (Connie Faust) Norton, Michelle (Jamal) Isom, Derek (Kari) Norton, Dwight Norton, her siblings; Jim, Bill (Gene), Betty (Jim), Patty, Nellie (Gary), Donna (Jim), Vicki (Lou) and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in her death by her parents.
A Celebration of life will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday November 7, 2015 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest. A visitation will take place from 11:00 AM until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
