Obituary
Madison - Genevieve Carlson passed on to her next adventure at age 93 on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015. She was born on June 24, 1922 in Madison to John and Marie (Haack) Hall. Graduating from Central High School, she went into her lifelong profession of clerical/accounting. Gen married Owen R. Carlson on Nov. 26, 1953. She raised her children proudly after Owen's passing in 1968. "Mrs. C" was active in her children's activities at Madison East High School, where she was known for her support of the Wrestling Team and Cheerleaders.
Gen and her sister Loraine spent many years together camping, especially at Lake Kegonsa State Park, and also enjoyed many local and global trips.
Gen is survived by her children, Sue Farrey, Rich (Brenda) Carlson, and Carol Bergen; her three grandchildren, Mitch Farrey, Andrew (Kristin) Carlson, and Ashley Carlson; and her two great-grandchildren, Jack and Cora Carlson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Owen; her parents; and her siblings, Bill and Fred Hall, and Loraine Marvin.
A Memorial Celebration will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2015 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. SHERMAN AVE., Madison.
