Edna Marks

Madison – Edna Marks (Rhiner), age 91, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Waunakee Manor Nursing Home. She was born on August 17, 1924 in the Town of Primrose, to the late John and Eva Rhiner.

Edna graduated from Verona High School in 1942 and St. Mary’s Cadet Nurse Program in 1946. She worked at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and Madison VA Hospital until her retirement in 1986.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Nuzzo of Clearwater, FL, and her children Lindsey Nuzzo and Johnny Nuzzo; her son Lee (Mary) Marks of Cottage Grove, and their children Kayla (Josh) Tueting, and Marissa Marks; her son Richard (Nancy) Marks of Sauk City and their children Emily (Brad) Cunningham, Daniel (Lindsay) Marks and Andrea Marks; her son John (Barb) Marks of Portland, Oregon; and her sister Ada Oimoen of Middleton, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Esther Rhiner; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Anita Rhiner; and her brother-in-law, Roger Oimoen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 602 Everglade Drive, Madison, with Father Bart Timmerman presiding. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Mount Vernon, WI.
