Nancy Sluder

DEFOREST – Nancy L. (Derlein) Sluder, age 58, passed away on Thursday December 31, 2015, surrounded by her loved ones at Agrace Hospice. Nancy was born on May 22, 1957 to John and Beverly (Griswold) Derlein in Madison, WI. She grew up in Sun Prairie and graduated from Waunakee High School in 1975. Nancy worked at GHC and later finished her career at Metavante. She was instrumental in raising funds for the Make a Wish and Trifecta Foundations through the Annual Charity Softball Tournaments in DeForest. Nancy loved the Packers, Badgers, online surveys, spending time with her family and most importantly her granddaughter, Chloe.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Amanda (Josh) Kearney; grandchildren, Chloe Lewis and Michael Kearney; mother, Beverly Griswold-Derlein-Sperry; siblings, Kathy (Bill) Johnson, Jack (Rosann) Derlein, Dave (Joni) Derlein, Bob (Regina) Derlein, and Janice Derlein-Romine; and a very special niece, Kelli Romine. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Nancy is preceded in death by her father; and step-father, Gaylord “Curly” Sperry.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest, with Pastor Brenda Lovick presiding. A visitation will be held from 4:00PM until 7:00PM on Monday, January 4, 2016 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME and again on Tuesday from 9:00AM until time of service. Burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
