Julene Strade

Julene Louise Strade, age 60, of Brooklyn, WI, passed away peacefully early Sunday April 6, 2025 at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg, WI after a courageous battle against breast cancer.

Julene was born on June 23, 1964, to Earl and Barbara (Schultz) Strade in Redwood City, CA. She graduated from DeForest High School (1982) and graduated with honors from Upper Iowa University (1990).

Julene was an avid sports fan and always knew when the next Packer game was and when the Badger football or hockey team played. She also was a big knitter. Many babies and kids have a hat made by Julene and she donated many knitted hats to the Carbone Cancer Center. Whenever she went in for treatment, she would leave a handful of hats for others.

Julene is survived by her husband of 30 years, Brett Harris; daughter, Patricia Dolens (Matthew); mother, Barbara Strade; mother-in-law, Judith Harris; brother, Keith Strade (Shawn Coffey); stepchildren, Brandon Harris (Mollie Sharp) and Levi Harris (Karli); and grandchildren, Alexander Dolens, Sylvia Dolens, Audri Harris, and Gage Harris.

She is preceded in death by father Earl Strade and father-in-law William Harris.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11am, at Christ Lutheran Church, 220 S Main St, DeForest. A visitation will be held from 10am until time of service on Saturday at the church. Private burial will be held at a later date.
