Obituary
Madison, WI – Dean Halberslaben, age 83, passed away on Thursday, January, 14th 2016, at home with family. Dean was born on February, 25th 1932, in Madison, the son of Lyle A. and Myrtle (Brumm) Halberslaben. He served in the Army as a paratrooper during the Korean War. He retired as a letter carrier from the US Postal Service.
Dean is survived by his loving and caring wife of 54 years, Lucille (Apple); son David (Patti) of Oregon, daughter Susan (Ken) Langner of Stoughton; four grandchildren, Eric, Maggie, Andy, and Matt; three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Kaden, and Leah and his loving K9 companion Lodi. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Lyle (Hobby) and Richard.
Dean loved spending time with his family especially visits from his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private family gathering will be held per Dean’s wishes. Memorial donations may be made to Badger Honor Flight or Dane County Humane Society.
