Obituary
Monona-Christine G. Coenen, age 86, died peacefully at home on Sunday, February 7, 2016. She was born in Muscoda WI to Irvin and Pearl Bailey. She graduated from Central High School in Madison. Christine was united in marriage to Richard Coenen on April 30, 1949.
Christine enjoyed many activities including sewing, knitting, ceramics, floral arrangements, card playing, golfing and thirty years of league bowling. Christine had a great sense of humor and enjoyed socializing with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and two brothers.
Christine is survived by her husband Richard; five children, James (Barb), Michael (Cheryl), Patrick, Timothy, and Barb (Paul) Weum; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; her brother Ronald (Jerry) Bailey; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Coenen and Rita Mathiot; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Home Health United Hospice and a special thank you to Sheri Ellefson for the wonderful care she provided for Christine.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Thursday, February 11th, 2016, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N Sherman Ave, Madison. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 10th, from 4pm until 7pm and again on Thursday at the funeral home from 10am until the time of service.
