Patricia Bowden

Madison – Patricia E. (Tricia) Bowden, age 55, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Agrace Hospice. Tricia was born in Fairbanks, AK on May 8, 1960 to Robert and Eileen (Kempen) Pagel. She grew up in Madison where she graduated from East High School in 1978. Later that year she married her high school sweetheart, Ron, on November 25. After raising a family, she attended MATC and graduated with a degree in Computer Information Systems in December 1994. She then went on to a 20-year career with the Department of Workforce Development, as a Computer Application Programmer/Analyst.

Tricia was an active member of Door Creek Church in Madison. She enjoyed time with friends, playing games, and traveling. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Tricia was diagnosed with cancer in December 2008. Over the last seven years, her strength and faith helped her live life to the fullest. All through this long journey, cancer never diminished her spirit. Her inner beauty shined through her eyes and her smile every day of her life.

Tricia is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Ron; daughters, Christina (Parker) Ashworth of Stoughton, Alicia (Anthony) Gonzales of Stoughton; son, Nathan (Amanda Reuter) of Sun Prairie; granddaughters, Alexandria, Victoria, and Raelyn; father, Robert Pagel of Sun Prairie; brother, Tom (Jeanne) Pagel of Lake Havasu, AZ; and many other close relatives and friends. Tricia was preceded in death by her mother Eileen and brother Daniel.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Door Creek Church, 6602 Dominion Dr. in Madison on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 4:00pm. The service will be presided by Pastor Cal Steiner at 5:00pm, with a dinner to follow.

The family would like to extended special thanks to Tricia’s care team at Agrace Hospice. Their compassion and support was greatly appreciated during a time of great difficulty.
