Obituary
Madison - Marshall Lee Harper, age 84, of Madison, WI, entered into eternal peace on Monday, May 2nd, 2016 at his home. Marshall was born on September 24th, 1931 in Forest, Mississippi, the son of Willie Lee Sr. and Velma Lee Harper.
He went to school in Schalter, Mississippi. He was employed at Lock Joint Pipe of South Beloit, IL, Fairbanks Morse of Beloit, WI, Drove Cab in Chicago, IL, and retired from MATC University in Madison, WI as a cook. He was a bass singer in a Quartet Gospel group. He was an extremely wise person. He helped family get employment. He was a counselor. He was liked by everyone at his apartment.
Marshall Harper is survived by his sons, Marshall Harper Jr., Bruce Harper, James Golden, and daughter, Sabrina Doshier (Terick Verges) of Memphis, TN; his siblings, Rosie Bannister of Beloit, WI, Penny Merle Ficklin of Chicago, IL, Marie (George Raymond) Owens of Milwaukee, WI, and Samuel (Marie) Harper of Fresno, CA; his grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Marshall Harper is predeceased by his parents; brother, Willie Lee Harper Jr., sisters, Allie Lee DuPree, Jewell Guyton, Pearlie Mae Perry, and Mattie Helen Wiley.
