Geraldine “Gerry” Florence Lutz, age 71, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 28, 2016. She was born on January 2, 1945, the daughter of Elmer and Bernice (Anderson) Sailing. Gerry was born and raised in Madison. She met John at the age of 15 while he was doing a paper route in her neighborhood. They were married on June 10, 1972 and later had 2 children, Nancy and David. She was a dedicated wife of 43 years and a selfless, loving mother. She enjoyed cooking for her family and frequently taking her children to the zoo. Gerry was a devoted Christian and active member of St. Bernard Parish.
She is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Nancy (Brant) Showers; son, David (Kaozong) Lutz; grandchildren, Sophia and Joshua Lutz; and her sister, Jean Musillami.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2450 Atwood Ave., with Father Michael Radowicz officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona.
