Madison
Marcia Louise Williams age 83, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Heritage Assisted Living in Monona from complications of Parkinson’s disease. She was born February 15, 1933 in Madison the daughter of Lauriets “Larry”and Grace ( Sutter) Swiggum. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Williams and they have been married 61 years.
Marcia enjoyed gardening and after her children were raised, worked for 15 years, gardening at Klein’s Floral. She was active in sports, including softball, volleyball and bowling into her 50’s and 60’s. She and LeRoy enjoyed traveling and camping and playing cards. She was known for helping neighbors in need. She enjoyed working the election polls and supervising for MSCR. She was creative and enjoyed crafts and quilting. Her greatest love was family, and she was there for her children and grandchildren’s activities and sports and enjoyed family reunions.
Marcia is survived by her husband, LeRoy Williams; children, Julie (Scott) Woerth, Michael (Kathryn) Williams, Joe (Maureen) Williams, Deanne (Jeff Romano) Williams, Holly (Todd) Wollin; nine grandchildren, Chris (Nikki) Woerth, Jared (Betsy) Woerth, Ross Williams, Haley, Matthew and Joshua Williams, Ben Runde, Tony Romano , Shelby Wollin; six great-grandchildren, MaKenna, Calen, Owen, Carson, Reed, Will; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Bruce, Lawrence and Roxanne.
The family extends their gratitude to the staffs of Heritage Assisted Living and Agrace HospiceCare for their loving care and support.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield Street, Monona, with Father Ray Dischler celebrating and Msgr. Donald Heiar con-celebrating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4—7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8 at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Avenue and again at church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
