Obituary
MADISON – Janet K. Gormican, age 80, passed away at home on Sunday, June 5, 2016 surrounded by family. She was born on July 7, 1935 in Madison, the daughter of Milton and Mamie (Nelson) Nodolf. She married Michael L. Gormican on April 8, 1967, beginning a story of unconditional love that welcomed all into their hearts and home. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Janet was the make-up designer of CTM for 38 years, contributing her artistic skills to many theatrical productions, films, public television, and fundraisers; she shared her magical touch with group homes, nursing homes, community centers, local government, and schools. In all her years with CTM, she never missed a single production.
Janet is survived by her husband, Michael; children, Tara King, Michael J. (Carolyn) Gormican, Lisa Cardarella (Terry) Hustad; a special niece, Susan (Dan) Miller; a special daughter-in-law, Louise (Robert) Frame; grandchildren, Brandilyn Cardarella (Walter) Radunz, Shekeba Samadzada, Anna Cardarella (Andy Sailing), Rosalie Cardarella, Christina and Jessica Miller, David (Anna) and Daniel (Stephanie) North, Mario Cardarella, Nicole Custer, Mitchell Hustad, Victoria Wiganowsky, Jessica Custer, Jacob (Leah) Hustad, Benjamin Gormican, Gaetana Cardarella; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Lorenzo, Domanik, and Isabella Radunz, Jackson, Charlotte, Owen, and Matthew Sailing, Jasmine Carter, Feriba and Parvis Samadzada. She is further survived by her brother, M. Keith (Marilyn) Nodolf, and sister, Neva (Paul) Marx; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Joseph “Skip” Cardarella; and grandson, Timothy Gormican.

A memorial fund has been set up to honor the life of Janet Gormican.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave. Madison, WI. A visitation for family, friends and all who knew and loved Janet will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Ryan funeral home, as well as from 9 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday.
