Lottie Truman

Madison - Lottie M. Truman, age 84, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, surrounded by family. She was born on February 6, 1932 in Lone Rock, Wis., the daughter of Rollie and Nellie (Sturdevent) Braun.

Lottie was a seamstress for over 50 years. She enjoyed the outdoors - fishing and hunting with her kids. She could not drive by a yard sale without stopping, and if you needed something, you could guarantee she always had 2 of them. Her door was always open, reflecting her philosophy, "Don't knock, come on in" and when you leave "Shut the damn door!". Lottie had a bold outspoken personality, never afraid of anything, and yet had a big open heart towards anyone she met.

She is survived by her children, Parker, Steve, Rollie and Chris; grandchildren, Philip and Crystal; great grand-daughter, Angela; sister, Edna (Nick) Fishbach; and long time friend, Ann Lehman.

She is preceded in death by her son, Gregory; her parents; and siblings, Art, Elsie, Irene, Ester and Edwin.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2016 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, with Chaplain Susan Greenler officiating. A Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 12 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be written to the family.
